For April, we'll be discussing *The Buffalo Hunter Hunter *by Stephen Graham Jones. This will be an in-person event at Bob & Sara's home in Santa Monica, with zoom access for those who can't make it in person.

The in-person event is a potluck. Please bring something to share with the group. The discussion will start from 5:30, and we'll turn on the zoom at that time for the people joining remotely.

A NYT bestseller and “horror masterpiece” from Stephen Graham Jones—the master of modern horror—is a chilling historical horror novel tracing the life of a vampire who haunts the fields of the Blackfeet reservation looking for justice. In other words, something a little different from our usual selections.

A diary, written in 1912 by a Lutheran pastor is discovered within a wall. What it unveils is a slow massacre, a chain of events that go back to 217 Blackfeet dead in the snow. Told in transcribed interviews by a Blackfeet named Good Stab, who shares the narrative of his peculiar life over a series of confessional visits. This is an American Indian revenge story written by one of the new masters of horror, Stephen Graham Jones.

The address and zoom links will be sent out the day before the event. We hope that you can join us. If so, please RSVP. If your plans change and you are no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP. No shows will be removed from the group.
