Buttercup Strange is a Los Angeles rock band built on the simple belief : Rock music was never meant to be safe. Drawing from the scale of Oasis, the unpredictability of Nirvana, the atmosphere of Radiohead, the grandeur of The Verve, and the melodic instincts of bands like Blink-182 and The Smashing Pumpkins ; Buttercup Strange isn't trying to recreate the past. They're chasing the feeling that music could still be dangerous, cinematic, and bigger than the people making it. No gimmicks. No irony. No safety net. Just loud guitars, impossible standards, and songs written to outlive the decade they were born in.
