If these questions sound like ones you’ve asked before, or you have questions along those lines, and you wish to know more, this may be a class series for you.
Oftentimes, the goal of a magical practitioner is to craft spells and workings intended to improve the quality of one’s lifestyle, surroundings, or interpersonal connections through creating, or compelling, stability, expansion, ease and success with specific outcomes and various endeavors. A particular way of approaching this is through Planetary Magic – a form of sympathetic, magical practices centered around harnessing the energies and influence associated with the planets. Many would say that the key to unlocking these cosmic influences lies within the understanding of astrology.
Astrology is a cosmology – the language of the stars. And, as it turns out, like learning any language, it is remarkably intimidating and overwhelming to study, as there are a multitude of concepts, techniques, interpretive considerations, and even math, which one has to tackle for even an ounce of it to “sink in.” And while one would find that a true study and understanding of astrology has its roots in every ancient cosmological perspective, if you are someone with little to no knowledge about astrology, know that should never be a hinderance or limitation to cultivating a magical connection or praxis with any of the celestial bodies. As with every magical practice you have to start somewhere, and Planetary Magic is an accessible path worth exploring.
In this 4-week class series, we will discuss foundational concepts in astrology which relate to a basic understanding and practice of planetary magic. We will endeavor to explore, and piece together, several techniques and perspectives that will be useful in expanding your magical practice. In other words, this is a class intended for an absolute beginner – no previous astrological study is necessary. And, the goal of this class is to introduce you to the world of astrology through simple practices and perspectives that don’t require years of systemic knowledge or sophisticated math. Planetary Magic is not only a wonderful way to connect to celestial energies, but also a practical and fascinating approach to spellcrafting.
Topics throughout the series include:
– Planetary Significations & Correspondences
(This involves concepts which help you determine what the most appropriate ingredients for your spells can be.)
– Planetary Attunement & Remediation
(Techniques in connecting to planetary energies, while learning how to make challenging transits work for you – not against you.)
– Magical Timing
(Identifying the most auspicious times to dispatch your spells to achieve results you want.)
– Spellcrafting Techniques
(Practical ways of working with various crafting materials, creating sigils, and employing planetary spirits towards your magic.)

Please come to class prepared with whatever items you need for notetaking. Throughout the series I will also be providing you with additional study materials (PDFs of the class PowerPoint Presentations, Reference Guides, Worksheets, Charts, and Tables.

Glyphs of Power: A 6-Week Journey into Magical Alphabets
In this immersive 6-week course, we will explore the Norse Runes and Celtic Ogham—two powerful alphabets woven with sound and spirit. Through sound-based exploration, symbolic comparison, and Vision Quest we will explore the mysteries of these magical glyphs. A portion of each class will also briefly touch on comparisons with other magical alphabets to look for deeper synergies in the mysteries. Whether you’re an experienced practitioner or curious seeker, this course offers an exploration into ancestral connection through two potent magical languages of northern Europe.

Our Vision Quests are explorations and introductions to varying different spirits. We have through this practice met up with familiar spirits, deity spirits, and the spirits of varying forms of witchcraft. In this month’s quest we will be meeting up with a specific ancestral spirit – the Brythonic Iceni Queen, Boudica.
Boudica’s name has been translated from several languages to mean “victorious.” It is unknown if this is a title she carried, or if it was her given name. Partially because of this, her popularity found a resurgence during Queen Victoria’s reign, and a statue depicting her in a chariot of victory was raised in her honor and set on the Westminster Bridge in London.
Boudica lead a rebellion against Roman rule in AD 60 – 61. This came about as the invading Romans could not, would not recognize her sovereignty because she was a woman. She united many of the tribes in Britain and fought the Romans and the Romanized British tribes alike. The Romans described her as a strong & terrifying warrior with a harsh voice that was often given to rallying speeches before battle. After winning several battles, she eventually lost the war. Roman recorded history indicates she poisoned herself rather than be taken by their troops.
As an ancestor spirit, Boudica makes manifest in us the spirit of tribal unity, the strength of many tribes uniting and standing together to defy unjust rule. She is also a rallying spirit of women refusing to be disempowered by a patriarchal regime.

General notes about these workings: akin to the Quest for the Grail achieved through Vision, these popular Vision Quest workings serve to help awaken the Sight and Gifts in the Seeker, offering a number of opportunities to connect with various divine spirits and receive gnostic insight into your Fate, Path and practices, both within your mundane world as well as your Magic.
Please arrive at 7:30 for an 8pm start.
*ZOOM PARTICIPANTS PLEASE NOTE: We will open the Zoom meeting at 7:30, but will start at 8pm PROMPT.
*IN PERSON PARTICIPANTS PLEASE NOTE: The temple space is not carpeted, and bringing a pillow or yoga blanket or something comfortable to sit on is recommended.
Also, please bring a salty snack to share for after the Vision Quest. These can be powerful workings, so we recommend that you please be prepared to stay and engage in the after-Quest discussion while you ground and perhaps receive clarity on any insights you may have received.
