Kelp Forest Club - Los Angeles Based Scuba Diving Group

At the end of each month we organize a coastal mission somewhere along the Southern California shoreline.

The exact dive site depends on conditions that week - visibility, swell, surge, and what the ocean feels like doing - so we will finalize the location a few days beforehand. Anywhere from Orange County up through Ventura County is fair game.

The plan is simple: meet up, gear up, and spend a good day along the coast with other divers.

Sometimes that means a couple dives and calling it a morning. Other days we hang around longer, stretch out on the beach, hydrate properly, compare notes from the dive, open a favorite beverage, maybe watch the sunset or wander off on a coastal hike.

Some missions are calm blue-water days.
Some are classic SoCal shore adventures.

Either way the recipe stays the same.
Cold water. Prepared divers. Proper hydration.

The first weekend of every month we head over to Catalina to spend the day in the kelp.

The plan is simple: ferry over, meet at Casino Point Dive Park, dive the forest, and enjoy the day with a good crew.

Usually that means a couple dives followed by some decompression together - hydrate properly, compare notes from the forest, maybe grab food together in Avalon.

We aim for the first weekend of the month, choosing Saturday or Sunday depending on weather and conditions.

Some months it’ll be a small crew, some months a bigger one.

Either way, the recipe stays the same.
