Kelp Forest Club are joining the Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup on Feb. 21, 2026.

One of Southern California's major dive events and the only time scuba diving is allowed in Avalon Harbor! Cleanup attracts more than 600 volunteer divers who collect trash and debris.

This cleanup is organized by Catalina Divers Supply and the Avalon Rotary Club Foundation.

If you’ve been wanting to do a cleanup without going solo, this is a great chance to dive alongside fellow Kelp Forest Club members! We’ll dive together, work as a team, and leave the harbor better than we found it. Post-diving we will linger a bit- decompress in good company, compare notes, and hydrate properly.

Register here, select “Kelp Forest Club” from the dive club dropdown.

RSVP to this event (here on meetup) after official registration to stay updated on meetup communications.

Meeting Location: Green Pier

Cost: 70 per diver (includes a t shirt!) and gear is available for rental at checkout (select “Green Pier” for gear pickup location location)

Proceeds benefit the USC Hyperbaric Chamber, the Avalon Rotary Club Foundation and Avalon’s Casino Dive Park.
