Women in Tech Speaker Event w/ Unnati Sethi, Software Development Manager @ IMDb

The WiT series is produced by Codesmith in an effort to fix the diversity gap in tech by collaborating with leading tech companies through mentorship and scholarship opportunities for women pursuing a software engineering education at Codesmith.

We created the WiT Mentorship Series to highlight the accomplishments of successful women engineers, and to connect women aspiring to be software engineers to mentors and peers.

Every month, we will bring the best speakers and mentors to an interested audience on topics ranging from career advice for women in tech to the latest JavaScript and web technologies. Following presentations and Q&A, we will provide a space to chat and network over refreshments.

About the Keynote Speaker:

Unnati Sethi is a Software Development Manager at IMDb.com where she leads a team of engineers focused on deprecating legacy software and building highly interactive and creative end-user facing systems for film industry professionals. Prior to joining IMDb in 2011, Unnati worked as a Research and Authoring Engineer at a Blu-ray authoring studio. It was here that she zeroed in on her love for building software within the entertainment industry.

She has a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and almost fifteen years of experience building software with cross-geographical, multi-cultural teams of varying sizes. She is a vocal advocate for diversity in the technology and entertainment industry and is actively involved in recruitment and diversity outreach initiatives at IMDb and Amazon.
