## Dr. David Blekhman

Dr. David Blekhman is a Professor of Technology at Cal State LA and the founding Technical Director of the university’s Hydrogen Research and Fueling Facility—the largest hydrogen and fuel-cell research facility on any academic campus in the U.S. A pioneer in sustainable energy and transportation, Dr. Blekhman has guided thousands of students and professionals through hands-on learning in hydrogen, solar, EVs, and fuel cell technologies.
He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and has secured over $32 million in federal and state funding for clean energy research. His accolades include the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Alternative Energy Technology, Cal State LA Outstanding Professor, and the South Coast AQMD Clean Air Award. Passionate about preparing the next generation of climate leaders, he transforms Cal State LA into a “living lab” for the future of green technology.

Jennifer Hamilton
Jennifer’s hydrogen journey began in 2006 at the California Fuel Cell Partnership, where she was responsible for facility safety system management and the hydrogen fueling station operations, as well as ultimate decommissioning. Additionally, she led the development of CaFCP’s outreach and education curriculum on hydrogen, fuel cell vehicles, and infrastructure for first responders and authorities having jurisdiction. This material was the basis for the National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Emergency Response Training Resource, for which the U.S. Department of Energy recognized her. Subsequently, she has helped develop other first responder training materials housed on the Center for Hydrogen Safety’s h2tools resource. Jennifer has delivered those materials to first responders and AHJs throughout California and the U.S. and presented at various hydrogen safety conferences, both domestic and international. Jennifer worked with the State of California to bring retail hydrogen fueling and infrastructure, fuel quality, and metrology for passenger fuel cell vehicle customers. She has been active in hydrogen codes and standards development, including with SAE International, the National Fire Protection Association, and the Compressed Gas Association. Jennifer currently chairs the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for the ISO Technical Committee 197 on Hydrogen Technologies and the Hydrogen Transportation Technical Committee in CSA Group. Other experience includes hydrogen policy and advocacy, as well as executive management. Jennifer is passionate and dedicated to her work in fostering a hydrogen energy future.

## Event Sponsor:

Founded in 1999 as the California Fuel Cell Partnership, the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Partnership is an industry/government collaboration aimed at expanding the market for fuel cell electric vehicles powered by hydrogen to help create a cleaner, more energy-diverse future with no-compromise zero emission vehicles. Staff from member organizations participate on standing committees and project teams that help ensure that vehicles, stations, regulations and people are in step with each other as the market grows. H2FCP’s success is directly linked to the commitment and involvement of our member organizations.
