Join us for a free Tai Chi & Qigong class designed specifically to support school employees, educational sector workers, their family members, and frontline disaster support staff affected by the Eaton Fire in Altadena.

What is Tai Chi & Qigong? Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle, flowing movement practices from China that help improve balance, coordination, and mental focus. These slow, meditative exercises are proven to reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and restore a sense of groundedness—especially valuable during times of recovery and transition.

What to Expect:

  • Guided slow-motion movements that anyone can do
  • Breathwork and mindfulness techniques
  • A supportive, judgment-free community environment
  • Time to reconnect with your body and find moments of peace

No experience required. All levels welcome.
What to Bring:

  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
  • Water bottle
  • Optional: yoga mat or towel if you prefer
  • Just yourself—no special equipment needed!

Who Can Attend: This class is free and open to:

  • School employees and educational sector workers impacted by the Altadena fires
  • Family members of eligible participants
  • Eaton Fire Collaboratory (EFC) staff and frontline disaster support workers

How to Find Us: Classes are held at the Eaton Fire Collaboratory, located at 540 West Woodbury Rd, Altadena, CA 91001.

Look for signage at the entrance, and our instructors will greet you!
