Yoga for Eaton Fire Survivor Support

Join us for a free Yoga class designed specifically to support school employees, educational sector workers, their family members, and frontline disaster support staff affected by the Eaton Fire in Altadena.
What is This Yoga Class? This gentle yoga practice focuses on building strength, flexibility, and inner calm through mindful movement and breathing. Our sessions are designed to help regulate the nervous system, release tension held in the body, and create a safe space for healing and restoration during your recovery journey.
What to Expect:
- Accessible yoga poses suitable for all body types and fitness levels
- Breathing exercises to calm stress and anxiety
- Guided relaxation and grounding techniques
- A supportive, compassionate community environment
- Modifications offered throughout—you choose your own level of intensity
No experience required. All levels welcome.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows movement
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat (if you have one—we'll provide mats if needed)
- Any props you like (blanket, blocks, etc.), though not required
- An open heart and willingness to care for yourself
Who Can Attend: This class is free and open to:
- School employees and educational sector workers impacted by the Altadena fires
- Family members of eligible participants
- Eaton Fire Collaboratory (EFC) staff and frontline disaster support workers
How to Find Us: Classes are held at the Eaton Fire Collaboratory, located at 540 West Woodbury Rd, Altadena, CA 91001. Look for signage at the entrance, and our instructors will greet you!
