The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway

Wednesday, June 3
10:00am
Yokoso Coffee
All ages welcome.
Limited to 6 seats

Los Osos is small. This is smaller.

Hemingway’s spare and powerful novella follows an aging fisherman on a solitary battle far out at sea. It is a story about endurance, pride, defeat, and the quiet dignity of continuing anyway.

It is short. It is simple. It is not shallow.

We discuss the whole book. Yes, even the last page.

The meeting will last one hour. Afterward, you’re welcome to stay and continue the conversation.

Yokoso Coffee has kindly reserved a table for us. Please plan to purchase a drink while you’re there. Outside food and drink should be avoided in accordance with their posted policy.

The group is intentionally small so conversation stays thoughtful and everyone has room to participate.

I’ll see you at Yokoso.
