Let's Hike the Roller Coaster Trail, Miossi Open Space

This 4.2 mile, 862 ft. elevation gain, multi-use loop trail features great views throughout. True to its name, there are a number of up and down sections. When we make it to the top, expect 360-degree views of the Morros (Seven Sisters), Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo. Dogs on leash okay.

Directions: From the Hwy 1- Hwy 101 interchange in San Luis Obispo, take 101 north and drive about 3.8 miles to the Old Stage Coach Road turnoff. Turn left, cross 101 south onto Old Stage Coach Road and proceed into the parking lot. The location appears on the map.

I'll be at the trail head wearing a dark, Stetson-style hat.

Bring water, layers, sunglasses, sunblock, a hat, sturdy boots and snacks.
