Let's Hike the Valencia Peak-Badger-Bluff Trail Loop in Montana de Oro SP

This 6-mile, 1250' elevation gain loop starts at the Valencia Peak trailhead with a strenuous 3-mile up and back VP summit segment followed by a moderate Badger Trail-Bluff Trail loop back to the Valencia Peak trailhead. Be sure you're comfortable with the strenuous elevation gain and the 6-mile total distance. Prepare to enjoy spectacular views at the summit followed by the breathtaking coastal landscape along the Bluff Trail. We'll meet at the Valencia Peak trailhead a short walk south of the Spooner Ranch House parking lot.

PLEASE NOTE: We'll be meeting at the Valencia Peak trailhead, not the Spooner Ranch parking lot. This has been a source of confusion in the past.

Be sure to bring water, layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and snacks.

I'll be standing at the trailhead wearing a dark, Stetson-style hat.
