Let's Hike Spectacular Morro Bay Sand Spit

We'll hike about 10 miles out and back. It's easy going all the way as we'll hike mostly on compacted beach sand (bit of a climb from the beach to the parking lot at the end). Just be sure you're up to hiking 10 miles. We'll stop halfway for a snack on the tiny beach across the inlet from The Rock.

We’ll meet at the Sandspit Beach Parking Lot. After passing the Montana de Oro Park entrance, drive .8 miles to Sand Spit Road, turn right, and drive .5 miles to the parking lot.

Be sure to bring water, layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and snacks.

This is a great hike with continuous ocean, flora and fauna surprises.
