Superbloom Time Along Point Buchon Trail
Details
Wildflower Time!
This is an easy 7-mile out-and-back hike. so just be sure you're up to hiking that distance. In addition to wildflowers, we'll enjoy the spectacular coastline sculptural effects produced by millions of years of geologic and oceanic activity. Might even see an otter or two. And for something completely different toward the end of the outbound leg, we'll see Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant looming in the distance like something out of science fiction.
We'll stop for a snack at the halfway point.
8:00am start time because there will be a lot of people with the same idea, and access to Point Buchon Trail is limited to 300/day.
We’ll meet at the Coon Creak Trail parking lot at the end of Pecho Valley Rd, I’ll be at the trailhead wearing a dark Stetson-style hat.
Bring water, layers, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and snacks.
