See 15 incredible murals along Van Nuys Blvd, learn the history, hear the inspiration and meet the artists (maybe even see some live painting and hear some spoken word along the tour too!). Special guests speakers on selected tours include muralists Levi Ponce, Kristy Sandoval and Manny Velazquez. Tours will be led by two local art enthusiasts that have been involved in the creation of the murals in various ways.
Location: Meet at the corner of Pala Ave & Van Nuys Blvd. We will be taking a short Metro bus ride from there to Arleta Ave and then walking 1.5-mile back up to Pala Ave. Please arrive on time to make it on the bus, it leaves promptly at 10:15.
Wear comfortable shoes. Bring umbrellas, caps, sunscreen and/or water bottles anything you may need to make the 1.5-mile walk comfortable for you.
