We’re the SECOND LARGEST Meetup in the world with with over 45,000 friendly members! With dozens of fun events every month you are certain to make new friends. You will see all kinds of concerts from Pop to Indie, Classical to Jazz. And Oscar, Grammy and Tony winners such as Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo and Wynonna Judd to name a few. Superbands such as Depeche Mode and classical powerhouses such as the LA Philharmonic. At most of our events we have a Meet & Greet where you will meet other members. Join us as the legendary Sheila E. takes the stage at Pershing Square. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. Opening for Sheila E is dance favorite Pimps of Joytime. Starting out, Sheila E. owned the stage as a drummer and percussionist. But her career took an exciting turn when she met Prince backstage after a gig. The singer-songwriter revealed he had been following her career for some time, and the two quickly became friends. Their friendship eventually led to Sheila E. lending her vocals on Prince’s song “Erotic City”—a move that prompted her to launch her own solo singing career spawning top hits such as "The Glamorous Life" and "A Love Bizarre." Pershing Square features a Beer, Wine, and a Hard Bar as well as a variety of food trucks. Bring a low back beach chair like the cool UCLA beach chair in the gallery. The Venice Beach Music Fest is back for its biggest year with a stellar lineup in music, art, and dance at the iconic, world famous Venice Beach Boardwalk. Over the past 14 years the Fest has grown to become a beloved annual event featuring world-class musical and artistic talent. [FREE] The McCartney Years and Lawn Party at Warner Park

Concerts on the Green presents The McCartney Years. Hailed by the original Beatles promoter as the best on the scene; is a period-true, technically stunning and explosive live concert show that performs the music of Paul McCartney spanning from the Beatles to Wings. Songs include Hey Jude, Jet, Let it be, The Long and winding road and many more plus some deep cuts that McCartney wrote during the 1960s and 1970s; all performed to their original arrangements by a band that has entertained audiences world wide and even got a personal note from former wings guitarist Denny Lane. The Emerging Artist; The Jarrod Tyler Band. The Jarrod Tyler Band is an infectiously melody piano based rock band that would remind you of Ben Folds, Wings and early Billy Joel; the band has gained a reputation for its rock-in live shows. Before the concert we're having the ultimate pre-concert event: Lawn Party Potluck. The Lawn Party features fun, food and games. You do not want to miss this party! It's Ok to come by yourself--you won't be by yourself for long.℠ ■■■ LAWN PARTY POTLUCK ■■■ The best part of attending a concert in the park--some say the only reason--is the Lawn Party. This is where you'll make new friends and say "Hi" to old ones. We'll have fun games such as Taboo, Jenga and Texas Hold'em. A great way to meet someone is to offer them something! So... bring something delicious to share! Don't forget water. If you bring wine please be discrete. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a light jacket. Grammy winner Gustavo Dudamel is one of the most distinguished conductors of our day. Under Dudamel’s direction, the LA Phil has become one of the leading orchestras in the world.
