    # Reiki for Grief Healing: A One-Day Reiki Level 1 Training

    REGISTER HERE

    ### Learn to hold space for your own healing — one gentle energy practice at a time.

Grief doesn't move in a straight line, and healing isn't something that happens to you — it's something you learn to participate in. This one-day, online Reiki Level 1 training blends traditional Reiki attunement and practice with grief-informed teaching, so you leave with a real, usable self-healing tool for the seasons of loss in your life.

This is a Reiki Level 1 certification training, which means the focus is entirely on you: learning the hand positions, receiving your Reiki attunement, and practicing self-healing techniques you can return to for the rest of your life. You don't need any prior experience with Reiki or energy work — just an open heart and a willingness to sit with yourself gently.

    ## Who This Reiki Training Is For

This training is for anyone who is grieving — the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a diagnosis, a life transition, or any other loss — and who is looking for a grounded, embodied practice to support their healing. It's also for Reiki-curious healers, caregivers, hospice workers, and grief professionals who want to add an energy-healing modality to their own self-care or practice.
You'll fit right in if you're looking for:

    • A gentle introduction to Reiki and energy healing, with no experience necessary
    • A grief support tool you can practice on your own, anytime you need it
    • A values-aligned space that honors both Eastern healing philosophy and the real, lived experience of loss
    • Official Reiki Level 1 certification you can build on later with Level 2 or Master training

    ## What You'll Learn

This training grounds traditional Reiki teaching in the framework of grief and healing, drawing on Eastern philosophy and the grief work of David Kessler — best known for his work with Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and his book Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief. Over the course of the day, you'll learn:

    • The history, principles, and philosophy of Reiki as a self-healing practice
    • Your Reiki Level 1 attunement, opening your own channel for energy healing
    • Hand positions and techniques for full-body self-Reiki
    • How to use Reiki as a grounding practice during acute grief, anniversaries, and grief triggers
    • How Eastern healing philosophy frames grief as energy in motion, not a problem to solve
    • Reflections connected to David Kessler's teachings on meaning-making as part of the healing process
    • How to build a sustainable, ongoing self-Reiki practice for long-term grief support

By the end of the day, you'll be a certified Reiki Level 1 practitioner, equipped with a lifelong self-healing tool — not just information, but a practice.

    ## Why Reiki and Grief Belong Together

Grief asks the body to hold an enormous amount — and Western grief support often stays in the mind: talk therapy, journaling, cognitive reframing. Reiki offers something different. Rooted in Eastern philosophy, it works with the body's energy directly, offering a felt sense of ease, grounding, and self-compassion that talking alone doesn't always reach.

Reiki Level 1 is specifically about self-healing — which makes it a natural first step for anyone grieving. You're not learning to heal others yet; you're learning to come home to yourself, one hands-on session at a time.

    ## Meet Your Teacher

Taught by James Bene, reiki master teacher, grief educator and life transition coach.

    ## Frequently Asked Questions
