Loudoun Going Out To Eat Group (LOGO) is a local impromptu dinning group. It may be breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. It will always be a small group, from 6-12 people. Most of the time it will be in Loudoun, but it doesn't have to be.
This is how it works -
Oftentimes people don't see the announcement (via email or push notification) from Meetup about a new event and by the time they go to sign up the event is full. Event announcements and RSVPs in this group will be handled a couple different ways to help facilitate equity in signing up for events with limited attendance.
• Spontaneous events will be posted and will not be 'announced' until one or two days before scheduled to begin. If you happen to be checking the LOGO group site and stumble across a spontaneous event listing before it is announced you have the advantage of an early RSVP, so check this site often for spontaneous events.
• Extemporaneous events will be posted but are not 'announced' until one to seven days before scheduled to begin and RSVP's will not be open until one to three days later (the time will be clearly marked in the Meetup event details.) In this case it works similar to when your favorite band plans a worldwide tour, announces they are going on tour in your city and that ticket sales will begin on such and such a date. Extemporaneous events are held at popular venues and are more planned out than spontaneous events. Once you learn about the event, you still you will not be able to RSVP until a few days before the event begins. This way everyone has time to receive the notifications and everyone is on a level playing field with a chance to respond when RSVP's open.
• Unique events are elite or special in some way and are 'announced' immediately when posted. Unique events usually will require a paid deposit in order to attend. Because unique events require the host to prepare advanced planning, ticket purchases and/or a confirmed number of seats with a venue, a deposit is usually required for your RSVP to be a valid YES. Since no-shows are not acceptable at Unique events where the host may be charged a fee by the venue for an empty seat, these deposits are non-refundable if you cancel and change your RSVP to NO. If the event is cancelled for any reason, any fees paid would be fully refunded per Meetup policy.
When you RSVP for an event, you will be asked to provide your mobile telephone number so we can relay last minute messages or cancellations the day of an event or so we can text you if we think you might be running late. This info is only seen by the LOGO organizer(s). If we don’t have your contact number, your reservation is subject to cancellation.
If you RSVP "yes" to Loudoun Going Out To Eat Group and do not attend, that is considered a "no show." Members are NOT provided a warning, before they are removed from the group for violations of our policy posted to https://www.meetup.com/loudoun-going-out-to-eat-group/pages/30944923/POLICY/ (If you are removed from any of our groups for a 'No Show' violation, you will be removed from all of our groups at the same time.)
Lastly, since our events are impromptu or scheduled at the last minute, if you end up on the Waitlist please check back often so see if someone else has changed their RSVP and you have been promoted to the GOING list.

If you have a venue suggestion you can private message the LOGO Group Owner to plan an outing and you will be automatically included in the attendees RSVP list if your recommendation is scheduled.
The goal is to grow this group to be the premier 'small social dinning group' for adults in Loudoun County and the surrounding area.

This group is open to all mature adult persons who want to widen their social circles and meet people in a small group setting and there is no approval process to join. To become a LOGO member, you should live or work in Loudoun County communities such as Aldie, Ashburn, Brambleton, Middleburg, Leesburg, Sterling and other areas close by like Purcellville, Hamilton, Lovettsville, Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, Centreville and Dulles. If you live in more outlying places like Frederick, Poolesville or Rockville in Maryland and Haymarket, Vienna or Occoquan in Virginia you are still welcome, but we reserve the right to remove members members that we feel are not local to our area, may not participate or are repeatedly a no show (if you are removed from any of our groups for a 'No Show' violation, you will be removed from all of our groups at the same time.) Profiles without self-photos, or with sunglasses, or that are not completely filled out will not be considered for membership.
