We will meet on Thursday, April 19 at Adecco's offices at 101 Bullitt Lane. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the presentations will begin sharply at 7:00 pm. Along with a great presentation, we'll have food and raffle prizes. Be sure to RSVP so we know how much food is needed.

For April we have Rich Dudley to talk about building Rocking Webforms:

Reports of WebForms' demise are very premature; in fact, ASP.NET WebForms still rock! And by adding just a little jQuery UI magic, they can rock even more. Whether you're beginning a new WebForms application, or maintaining an existing one, it's very easy to add a little UI razzle-dazzle that can both make your code cleaner and the application more user friendly. In this session, we'll look at what jQuery is, how to use it in ASP.NET WebForms applications, and what it can do for our WebForms applications. We’ll also look briefly at the new jUICE project--if you've used the ASP.NET Ajax Toolkit in your applications, you'll want to see what is replacing it.

Rich Dudley is a former scientist, but these days instead of studying organisms you’ll find him working with Microsoft Visual Studio. With over 10 years of enterprise development experience, Rich has written articles and given talks relating to ASP.NET, SQL, XML, and Azure.

Rich has been working with Azure since the early beta days, with Windows Phone 7 since before you could leave one in a bar, and is co-author of "Microsoft Azure: Enterprise Application Development" from Packt Publiching. As a Technical Evangelist for ComponentOne, you’ll find Rich at your local user group event or tradeshow or blogging online. His passion for development is evident in his work, whether it’s a demonstration, talk, or sample project.
