Summer Foraging

Details

Do you desire to be more knowledgeable about our Appalachian forests?
Wonder what’s growing in your yard or around town?
Curious about what is edible, medicinal, or poisonous?
Do you want to learn from an expert?

Join us as we walk together through the woods, into an open field, tasting and talking about many plants along the way.

Learn to confidently identify a plethora of wild edible plants that are out this time of year. Develop a relationship with the plants we meet. We will cover edibility, medicinal properties, niche, energetic, safety, & talk about plant look a-likes & families

Your guide will be Oak InLove

An expert forager, with 10 years+ experience and over a thousand hours learning, teaching and preparing wild food & medicine. I guarantee you will come away from this walk with lifelong plant allies & identification skills.

As part of continuing my life’s work in teaching & leading plant connection experiences, I am requesting a $10-20 donation for my time. No donation required.

What to Bring

An open mind
Appropriate footwear & clothing for the climate
Whatever you will need to take care of yourself.
You are expected to be self reliant for your basic necessities. You guide will not assume responsibility for anything that might happen to you on this meetup. That said, we are all on the same team and let’s take care of each other.
