Own Your Space: Winter Pride 2026 Special Workshop
Details
We’re pleased to invite our community to Own Your Space: Confidence, Awareness and Personal Safety for the Rainbow Community, a free Winter Pride 2026 special workshop taking place at Epsom Library.
This beginner-friendly, interactive workshop is designed to support LGBTQIA+ community members, allies, and the wider community to build confidence, strengthen personal safety skills, recognise unhealthy dynamics, communicate boundaries, and develop greater situational awareness in everyday life.
Rather than focusing on aggression or combat, the workshop takes an empowerment-based and trauma-informed approach to personal safety and community wellbeing.
Together, we will explore practical strategies for:
• Building confidence and trusting your instincts
• Recognising red flags and increasing situational awareness
• Setting and communicating healthy boundaries
• Developing practical personal safety strategies
• Strengthening emotional regulation and personal agency
• Working through real-life scenarios in a supportive environment
• Building connection and community
The workshop is suitable for all fitness levels, and no previous experience is required.
