Wyoming Hiking Adventure (A-B)

This trip takes us to two iconic venues in our neighboring state to the north. The first day is a drive to the Snowy Range area west of Laramie noted for numerous alpine lakes, towering mountains and dramatic rock features. We will hike, out and back, the Lookout Lakes Trail from Lake Marie to Lewis Lake viewing many lakes and mountains on the way. This B trek is about 7 miles RT with about 1,300’ elevation gain and maximum elevation of about 11,000’ over sometimes rocky and rugged trails. We will spend the night in Laramie at a motel. The next day we will head over to Vedauwoo east of Laramie. This area has outstanding rock features not seen elsewhere. We will hike the Turtle Rock loop for an easy A hike of 5 miles, 500’ elevation gain and maximum elevation of 8,000’. The trip limit is 8 people.
