Pineridge Natural Area (A)

This 4.2 mile hike starts around 5000 ft and has a gain of 253 ft with relatively flat terrain and wide trails. There are two semi steep ascents and one semi steep descent. This popular foothills natural area is a favorite among nature enthusiasts, hikers, and bikers. You can enjoy city views, foothills views, and Dixon Reservoir. You will be welcomed by some prairie dogs and may see other wildlife including pelicans, herons, rabbits etc. This is truly an enjoyable relaxing hike. Limited to 8 hikers. There is plenty of parking off of Overland Trail at Cottonwood Glen Park in Fort Collins. Loveland hikers may car pool from Jax. Fully Covid vaccinated hikers only for carpooling. At the hike leader's discretion, non vaccinated hikers may meet at the trailhead.
