⭐ 4.7 · 🟨 Moderate · Genesee Park

  • Distance: 5.2 miles
  • Elevation Gain: 1,125 feet

Chavez and Beaver Brook Loop is a scenic, moderately challenging hike just west of Golden. The trail winds through shaded forests, follows the peaceful Beaver Brook, and crosses the creek several times, making it a refreshing choice during the warmer months.

MEET: I'll be at the trailhead near restrooms in a pink hat at 7:15.

START: Promptly at 7:30AM

ROUTE: Clockwise loop, with the steeper part of the hike on the way out.

DIFFICULTLY: Rated by AllTrails as a moderate hike. Due to two short areas of exposure and 3 solid stair climbs, some participants have given me feedback that it is challenging.

For those who want a morning workout and fast pace, this is a great hike and you're welcome to group together. For those who want to take in the sites at a more leisurely pace, I'll be your guide.

CANCELLATIONS: please cancel by Saturday night at 8:30PM
