For parents who want to better understand their children and for adults who want to better understand themselves.

This workshop is ideal for:

Mothers who feel something is “off” but can’t quite name it

Parents who want logic, not labels
Families looking for natural, nervous system based approaches

Anyone who wants to understand how health patterns form over a lifetime

Many parents have a quiet feeling that something isn’t quite right with their child even when tests come back “normal” or labels don’t fully explain what they’re seeing.

This workshop is designed for parents who want to better understand how the nervous system develops, how it adapts to stress, and how common childhood symptoms can be early signs of a system that’s struggling to regulate not necessarily a child who is “broken”

Rather than focusing on diagnoses alone, we’ll explore how structure, breathing, brain development, and nervous system regulation interact from pregnancy through childhood and into adulthood.

Using clear explanations, simple analogies, and real life cases from practice, this workshop walks through the full developmental timeline helping parents understand why certain symptoms appear, what they mean, and what can actually help.

This workshop is especially relevant for parents noticing:
Attention or focus difficulties (ADD / ADHD)
Learning challenges (dyslexia, dyscalculia)
Sensory sensitivity or overwhelm
Speech delays or delayed milestones
Mouth breathing or chronic congestion
Asthma, allergies, or recurrent sinus issues
Reflux, digestion problems, or frequent stomach complaints
Bed wetting
Poor sleep, frequent night waking
Emotional regulation challenges (anxiety, mood swings, meltdowns)
Behaviour that feels “out of proportion” to the situation
Head injuries or post concussion symptoms
A child who seems bright but struggles to cope, settle, or recover

Topics we’ll cover include:
How the nervous system develops during pregnancy and birth
Natural birth vs C section and early nervous system wiring
Mother baby nervous system attunement
Early stress and how it shapes long term regulation
“Fight or flight” vs “rest and digest” in children
Why modern life keeps nervous systems switched on
Breathing patterns in kids
Nasal vs mouth breathing
Airway development, snoring, and sleep quality
Brain, cranium, jaw, and facial development (essentially how to raise better looking kids)
Why posture, movement, and balance matter for learning and behaviour

Early warning signs the body gives before bigger problems appear
We’ll also explain how the same patterns seen in children often continue into adulthood, showing up later as chronic stress, poor sleep, fatigue, headaches, anxiety, jaw tension, or burnout helping parents understand both their children and themselves more clearly.

There will be an introduction to Chiropractic and Cranial Facial Release (CFR) an explanation of how these approaches work with the nervous system, brain, and structure to improve regulation, breathing, and recovery.

Plan for at least 2 hours.
Bring a notebook

Many parents leave seeing their child’s behaviour in a completely new light.

You’re welcome to attend yourself or bring a partner, friend, or another parent who might benefit.

Important note

While we love taking care of babies and children at TopChiro Den Haag, for the sake of the other participants we kindly ask that for this event you please arrange a babysitter and keep this workshop for adults only.
