What we’re about

### Low-Fragrance & Chemical Sensitivity / MCAS Peer Support Group

This is a peer support group for people whose health is affected by fragrances, chemicals, or environmental triggers, including those with MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), chemical sensitivities, migraine, asthma, chronic illness, Long COVID, and related conditions.
Many of us experience symptoms that are invisible, misunderstood, or minimized — especially when it comes to fragrance exposure. This group exists to provide a low-fragrance, understanding, and supportive space where you don’t have to justify your needs.

#### What this group is:

  • A peer-led support space (not medical advice)
  • A place to share lived experiences, coping strategies, and resources
  • A space where masking, explaining, or “toughing it out” is not expected

#### What this group is not:

  • A medical or treatment group
  • A debate about whether chemical sensitivity or MCAS is “real”
  • A fragrance-positive or scent-heavy space

#### Who this group is for:

  • People with MCAS or suspected MCAS
  • People with fragrance or chemical sensitivities
  • People whose symptoms are triggered by scents, cleaning products, smoke, or environmental exposures
  • People looking for community, validation, and practical peer support

You do not need a formal diagnosis to join. Self-identification is enough.

#### Group values:

  • Respect for access needs and boundaries
  • No pressure to speak or share
  • Cameras optional (for online events)
  • You’re welcome to join even if your energy or availability fluctuates

This group exists because living with chemical sensitivity can be isolating — and it shouldn’t be.

> Note: This is a peer support group and does not provide medical advice. Please consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical guidance.
