Bird Walk/Walking Series- Lion's Park in Niskayuna

Details
Bird Walk at Lion's Park, Niskayuna
8 am- 11 am
Free, donations are welcome.
We'll be looking for locals and fall.
We'll meet near the gazebo.
If you'd like to see the birds, please bring your binoculars and field notebook or Ebird app to keep records. Water and other necessities for an easy hike. Consider dressing in layers, since it can be very breezy at the river.
If there are participants who are not particularly interested in birds, we can divide the group, since birding isn't very aerobic, especially when there are no hills to climb.
I don't have a scope, so if you have one you're willing to tote around, feel free to bring it. Otherwise, I usually do alright with my binoculars.
This hike is flexible time-wise: we can set a 90 minute timer for the outward walk, and come back at when it goes off.
This walk is easy, with periodic benches for resting.
The bathrooms may not be open this late in the year, so please go before you arrive. I usually stop at the Stewarts at the Rosendale Rd and Hwy 7 intersection.
If the temp or wind chill is below 45 degrees F, this outing will be cancelled.
