No partner needed- This dance class will focus on helping absolute beginner social ballroom dancers learn and solidify foundational skills. We’ll listen to a variety of music of the focus dances to get a real feel for how to determine if a song has that kind of rhythm. We’ll practice the basic for a bit to really start getting it into our head and feet.
We’ll practice tone, good frame plus lead and follow technique, then we’ll add an extra step or two to give the new leaders confidence on the dance floor!

We’ll work on two dances each week for two weeks, before moving to another set of dances. We’ll continually rotate through the 6 beginner dances- waltz, rumba, east coast swing, hustle, foxtrot and cha-cha.
Join us to learn a new language and skill that helps prevent mental decline.

We also offer a monthly Beginner Ballroom Dance with music by DJ Joe on the 2nd Friday, 6:30-9:30 pm, with 2 mini lessons by Joe-- $15 per person.

Park on the far left side of the Mall parking lot where you can see the Bingo and 99 Restaurant entrance. Use the entrance closest to the old Macy's store where you can see the Dreamlights Studio banner. The studio is on the right, once you get to the main corridor.
