## Weather Update 60% Cloud Cover

Hello All,

The current weather forecast predicts 50% to 60% cloud cover for the Lunar Eclipse. This isn't good news for viewing. It's horrible. So I'm going to have to cancel the event. (sigh). Please contact me if you have any additional questions.

Cheers,
Dono

## About this event

On Nov. 8th at 5:16 am, there will be a total lunar eclipse event. I plan to photograph it over the Venice Fishing Pier.

We get treated to unique light shows brought on by our place in the solar system. We are heading into a total lunar eclipse when the Moon crosses the Earth's shadow. The event creates a breathtaking natural phenomenon where the Moon becomes an umber color. A great time to break out the camera and take some snaps of the astronomical event.

There are several critical factors in getting good exposure: location, weather, and light pollution. The eclipse transition will be visible throughout North America as the Moon will be above the horizon. Light pollution and the further away from big cities, the better the show will be mainly because dimmer stars will also be visible. Still, you will see the transition if the weather holds out in your area.

Where and When: Meet on the South side of the Venice Fishing Pier at 3:00 AM
FEE: Free - However, tips are appreciated.
