Welcome to the Lower Bucks Social Club! This group is for anyone in the Lower Bucks area looking to connect with others who share common interests. Whether you enjoy walks, hiking, eating out, attending music events, or simply socializing with like-minded individuals, this is the group for you. Let's explore all that Lower Bucks has to offer together and make new friends along the way. Join us for our upcoming meetups and create lasting memories with our vibrant and welcoming community of people mostly in the age range of 30 to 70 (no one over 18 will be turned away though). Also, I'm going to request that everyone have a picture of themself (and only of themself otherwise how do we know which one is you?) which includes your face but not necessarily just a "head shot" and no computer generated or animated pictures please. We want to see the real you. Also, signing up and attending an event is a committment. Please do not sign up if you have no serious intentions of attending the event (in other words don't treat signing up the same way you would "liking" something on facebook). Also, numerous no shows or "last minute" cancellations may result in removal from the group. You will also possibly be removed if you haven't attended at least one event in two years. Swinging Sixties lecture at Grundy Library
Grundy Library, 680 Radcliffe St, Bristol, PA 19007, Bristol, PA, USAs we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Grundy Library, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a lively discussion of major cultural shifts in media, music, social movements & social norms during the 1960s. As the baby boomer generation came of age & the counterculture made its voice heard, major societal shifts occurred, whose impact is still felt today.
Jim (thelocalhistorygeek.com) has presented nationwide since 2009. His 4th & 5th great-grandfathers fought in the Revolution & settled in what became Drehersville. Jim is an active member of Radnor Historical Society, American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, Founding Forward, America250PADelco, & a volunteer history teacher.

This program is offered by Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library in support of the PA Forward | Pennsylvania Libraries initiative. Libraries are key to powering progress and elevating the quality of life in PA by fueling the types of knowledge essential to success: Basic Literacy, Information Literacy, Civic and Social Literacy, Health Literacy, and Financial Literacy.The event is free but you still need to sign up. We will meet just outside the room (when you go down the stairs you turn left and go to that area) by one of the tables at 6:15 to introduce ourselves. The lecture starts at 6:30.
