Let's explore the Malabar Headland

Malabar Headland lies between Maroubra and Malabar beaches and offers spectacular coastal views, interesting rare flora and fauna, rocky sandstone outcrops and several historic military ruins. It is a great exploration for some easy and relaxed walking.

The headland has two separate walks. The Western Escarpment walk cuts through the headland and the Boora Point walking track runs along the eastern coastline. We will do both walks.

We'll meet on the southern corner of Mons Ave and Marine Parade in Maroubra Beach and make our way south through Arthur Byrne Reserve to start with the coastal part.

The walk is approximately 7 km long and we will do it in a relaxed pace.

Please bring along sturdy footwear, some parts of the walk are over rocky terrain. Also as always, a hat, sunscreen, drinking water and maybe some snacks as we may have a rest on the headland to enjoy the amazing ocean views.

The walk starts and ends in Maroubra Beach, buses back to the city leave frequently from Marine Parade.

GRATUITY: There will be a $2 gratuity for this walk in cash.
