Notícia de l'arquitectura catalana.* *La mostra* proposa un recorregut ampli i suggeridor per l’arquitectura catalana, mostrant-ne la riquesa, la diversitat i la continuïtat històrica. El punt de partida de l’ exposició és la constatació d’un fil ininterromput que uneix la fundació de l’Escola d’Arquitectura, l’any 1875, amb les pràctiques i sensibilitats actuals. Un fil que travessa generacions, estils i moments convulsos, però que es manté viu a través d’una manera de fer on conviuen la mesura i l’audàcia, el rigor i l’instint, en un equilibri que popularment anomenem «seny i rauxa». El recorregut inclou una àmplia varietat de materials arquitectònics: esbossos que mostren el primer gest creatiu, plànols que defineixen formes i estructures, maquetes que donen volum a les idees i fotografies que en documenten la vida i l’impacte. A més, l’exposició incorpora obres artístiques i de disseny – pintures, escultures, mobiliari i altres peces- que estableixen ponts entre llenguatges visuals i entre maneres d’interpretar l’espai. La mostra, amb nombroses obres, defuig la mirada cronològica i aposta per una estructura temàtica que convida a observar, dialogar i comparar.
