Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them

Tue, Jul 14, 11:00 PM
From Get Over Loneliness and Build Lasting Relationships
4.3

This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Bring your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, microcontroller, or any other electronic project and join fellow electronics makers for a night of creativity and collaboration! This session is open forum to share your current projects—whether complete or in progress, it’s all interesting! Whether you’re deep into embedded systems, exploring new ideas, or just getting started, you’ll find a welcoming space to collaborate, share, and get inspired. **New to electronics or curious about tinkering?** You’re absolutely welcome. If you’re a beginner and want to experiment, I’ll have a couple of starter kits available so you can try things out—whether that’s blinking your first LED, putting something on a display, or experimenting with simple sensors. No pressure and no experience required—just an interest in learning and building. While we continue to pursue a more permanent venue for this Meetup, we’ll be using public library facilities based on availability.

Last year, we followed up our Anniversary Party film NOBODY with the sequel NOBODY 2! This year, we’re following up one epic Greek tale with another! We’ll see Christopher Nolan’s take on THE ODYSSEY for the group anniversary party on 7/19! And for this event on 7/26 we’ll enjoy the stellar Broadway musical, HADESTOWN! Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event: DESCRIPTION: From Broadway to the Big Screen, this presentation of HADESTOWN is a not theatrical adaptation of a beloved musical but a chance to see the actual musical featuring many of the original cast members from the hit Broadway production, recorded at the Lyric Theatre in London! Set to New Orleans-style jazz, the musical follows Orpheus and Eurydice. Desperate to get his love back, he travels down into Hadestown! The stellar cast features many from the original Broadway production, including Reeve Carney as Orpheus, André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, Eva Noblezada as Eurydice and Patrick Page as Hades. TRAILER: Unsure? Check out this trailer and I think you'll be sold! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76Q5TWHslOE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76Q5TWHslOE) MOVIE PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 1:00pm showing and meet in the lobby area between 12:35 and 12:45pm. Once you have your ticket, please list your seat number in the Comments section of this event. As a head’s up, tickets for this show are moving FAST! This theater / time selected because nearly every other theater/showtime this weekend is nearly sold out! Advance ticket purchase as soon as possible is advised! DINNER PLAN: Dinner immediately following the show at nearby Cap City Fine Diner! Always a great meal and a fun time! Seating is limited for the dinner portion of the event, so if you’d like to join in for dinner, please be sure to RSVP in BOTH the Movie and Dinner Portions of the event. Should be a fun one, Dan

You can sleep in on the Semiquincentennial (observed), we’re shifting to the following Friday. But join the local UX community for a chat and some biscuits to catch up. If you were in CA for Figma Config, tell us all the lines and you can tell me how I can animate an SVG without coding it by hand, and why I’d even want to. Thanks to the team at Nationwide of supporting the group.
