An old evil now sails aboard a company ship, hoping to make a home in this new found land. But he will soon find that the ground along the Indus is an ancient one with daemons and legends far older than himself. This is going to be a change of pace for us, this will be the first graphic novel we have read and shared together for the book club. OG Toluca Lake 5 mile-ish urban Halloween adventure walk!!!

Back for our 5th year !!! The Urban-ish Adventurists which includes legendary walkers Lori and Joe (legends in their own minds) collectively known as "JOLO” invite you to explore a Halloween adventure in Toluca Lake. We will be doing a 5 mile-ish walk around Toluca Lake and surrounding areas . Great selection of houses by this time . Come out early to beat the crowds . Make sure you join us for a Toluca lake or Burbank seasonal walk as they are historically best Halloween houses in the City. We do our best to keep the walk in a 2 hour range, however could go longer by a mile or so and sometimes goes over time posted. Comfortable shoes, water, flashlight and a good attitude are suggested items to bring but not required. Remember it is suggested you get a minimum 10,000 steps a day. We can all achieve that healthy goal together. We help motivate each other. Come out to walk and socialize with nice friendly people and experience a good workout at the same time. This is the Angeles Chapter Wilderness Travel Course (WTC). Some of you have taken the course and are now leaders and/or knowledgeable hikers. For those of you who have not, enrollment in WTC is something you should consider now. The Wilderness Travel Course helps build outdoor skills so hikers can be safe in the backcountry. The course runs for ten weeks and includes four field trips (two one day and two weekend outings). Students learn map and compass navigation skills for competent hiking off-trail, snow travel, rock scrambling techniques, first aid, nutrition and lots more. The course is followed by unforgettable experience backpacking trips, most of which take place in the High Sierra, Sequoia and Yosemite during the summer months. WTC moves you from being a day hiker to a more serious adventurer. You will acquire skills in trip planning, preparation, equipment and wilderness safety to take you into the backcountry in all seasons, beyond roads and trails with new friends that share your interest in the outdoors.
