Meetup Community Fund
An initiative to support community builders
Meetup is committed to fostering genuine human connections and values the incredible work Meetup's organizers put into building communities. In recognition of that dedication, Meetup and Bending Spoons are excited to introduce the Community Fund. The $50,000 initiative will support exceptional Meetup organizers so their communities can continue to thrive.
The Community Fund will assist active Meetup organizers with the costs associated with building community. If selected, award recipients will receive up to 24 months of organizing subscription fees covered by Meetup: a reimbursement for up to 12 months of past organizing fees and a 12-month credit for future organizing.
Applications will be assessed based on the following criteria:
1. Consistent event hosting on Meetup
2. Loyal and growing member base
3. Clear vision and event plans for 2024
4. Meaningful impact on facilitating friendships, bringing people together through hobbies, building strong networks, or cultivating strong professional networks

To be considered for an award, Meetup must receive your completed application by February 14, 2024, at 11:59 pm EST.
Terms & Restrictions
Eligibility: All Meetup users with an active Organizer subscription are invited to apply for an award from the Meetup Community Fund (“Award”).
Entry: To be considered for an Award, Meetup must receive your completed application by February 14, 2024 at 11:59pm EST.
Award Recipients: Meetup will select Award recipients from completed applications in its sole discretion.
Award: The Award will consist of (a) a refund of Meetup Organizer subscription fees paid to Meetup and not previously refunded, up to a maximum of 12 months’ Organizer subscription fees; and (b) a credit for your next 12 months of Meetup Organizer subscription fees to be applied at the time of your selection for the Award. The Award cannot be used outside of Meetup or redeemed for cash.
Publicity: Except where prohibited, acceptance of an Award constitutes a recipient’s consent to Meetup’s use of the recipient’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, and state for promotional purposes in any media without further notice, right of approval, payment, or consideration.
Agreement & Release: By submitting an application, each applicant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Terms & Restrictions and the decisions of Meetup, which are final and binding. By submitting an application, applicant also agrees to release and hold harmless Meetup LLC, Bending Spoons S.p.A., each of their affiliates and related companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the application process or receipt or use of any Award.
