How does IBA leverage big data to operate its proton therapy centers?

IBA installed or is installing 50+ proton therapy centers across three continents and generating 100+ GB of data per day. Three years ago, IBA launched a strategic initiative to leverage that ‘big data’ in order to optimise the operations of the proton therapy centers.
This strategic initiative was called PRIDEx.
During this talk, the product team behind PRIDEx will openly share their journey to build PRIDEx. How they went from the idea to an operational platform delivering real-time low level signals, warnings and operational dashboards to various stakeholders like site managers, remote technical experts, R&D teams and operations managers.
The PRIDEx team will share the lessons learnt along the way. From choosing between AWS, Azure or GCP, designing the architecture and implementing the several building blocks to training their first Machine Learning algorithm to predict failures before they occur.
