A 10 to 10.5 mile walk, mainly alongside river, canal or lake. Don't be fooled by the starting location on an industrial estate - we quickly leave built up areas behind us and the majority of the route is waterside footpaths along the rivers Soar and Wreake, the Grand Union Canal and the lakes of Watermead Country Park.
There is a footpath diversion in place not far from the start of the route had a lot of patches of brambles and nettles when I checked it out in early June, so I would advise having your legs covered.

There are no toilets along the route, but the A6/A46 services are very near the start point and accessible on foot through the Fire Service car park.

Please park considerately on the roadside on Geoff Monk Way or Coal Cart Road.
