Olga Kaiser - The Transformative Potential of Generative AI

The recent achievements of ChatGPT, since its release of an accessible version in November 2022, have highlighted the transformative potential of Generative AI.
In this talk, we will delve into the advancements of foundation models, focusing on time series forecasting with examples of how Generative AI improves predictions in weather and finance.
We'll provide a brief overview of these models' reasoning capabilities, especially concerning transparency and explainability, and discuss the ethical implications of generative models.

Olga Kaiser is a mathematician with a strong academic background in predictive modeling with a focus on meteorological data, coupled with strong expertise in applying deep learning techniques to industrial problems, currently focused on building advanced generative AI models tailored for financial markets at NNaisense.

Marco Foco - Understanding the C++ ISO Committee

In this talk, we'll explore how the C++ ISO Committee works and how it ensures a certified, standard and interoperable programming language to evolve, aligning different interests and agendas from some of the largest IT companies in the world"

Marco Foco is a senior software engineering manager ad Nvidia, and boosts a long career in C++ and deep learning development from the Ferrari F1 team to the EU JRC Research center in Ispra. He's head of the Italian delegation to the C++ Standards commitee.

Stefano Fiorentino (founder of the Lugano C++ meetup, https://www.meetup.com/lugano-c-meetup/) kindly agreed to host this meetup at the Adesso Schweiz AG Lugano headquarters, located at the third floor in Corso Pestalozzi 9 (in front of the bus station).
