Silvia Paron - Cyber security over wireless networks

How safe is your network connection, starting from the wifi you're probably using to read this text? What techniques can a malicious attacker deploy to jam, monitor, or intrude into your home or company network? Follow us as we explore some of the modern techniques used in the real world to attack wireless networks, and what we can do about it.

Silvia is an IT professional passionate about exploring all the evolving security trends. She has over 20 years of experience developing in different european countries and she's currently engineering manager of Guardian Air project in Nozomi Networks.

Mattia Verasani - AlphaFold: Revolutionizing Protein Structure Prediction

In this talk, we will explore the groundbreaking advancements brought by AlphaFold, the AI system developed by DeepMind that has transformed the field of protein structure prediction. Awarded with the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, AlphaFold, led by Demis Hassabis and John Jumper, has made significant strides in computational biology We will delve into the journey of AlphaFold, from its inception to its remarkable achievements.

Mattia is a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions working on Deep Learning in Computer Vision and Generative Modelling. He is also a co-Founder of the community Machine Learning Modena (ML Modena).
