How does it work?
- Sign up at https://lunchwithstrangers.food/ — no paywalls, subscriptions, or any payments of any kind. Mark your availability on the calendar: green means you are available, red means you are not.
- When there are 3 to 5 people available on the same date, you’ll get matched and notified via email.
- You decide as a group where to meet. Use the in-app voting system or just hash it out via chat.
- On May 24, have a great time meeting interesting new people! If you vibe, great—exchange contact info. If the group isn’t your cup of tea, no worries—you never have to see them again. The platform is anonymous and, by default, matches you with new people each time.

Why did you create this site?
I tried organizing lunches manually, but have you ever tried to coordinate a work meeting or a family get-together? It’s a hassle! Now imagine doing that for multiple groups—it quickly becomes overwhelming. Computers are great at handling this sort of thing, so why not let them do the work?What does it cost? What’s the catch?
To get matched and coordinate lunch place —nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. But, of course, you’re expected to pay your own bill at lunch.Why are you doing this?
I wanted to meet cool, new, diverse, and interesting people, but as more of an introvert, I do better in smaller settings. So I decided to do something about it—and I hope it helps others too.
