The New York City Lupus Walk

Details
On Saturday, October 14, 2017, Lupus Friends and Family Foundation will participate in the Walk with Us to Cure Lupus in New York City.
Please join my team so we can raise awareness of lupus and funds for lupus research. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those touched by the devastating effects of this disease.
Lupus is a painful autoimmune disease that affects millions of Americans and even more worldwide. This disease is more common than leukemia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis. Lupus can cause a plethora of ailments including kidney failure, heart disease, high blood pressure, vascular problems, and even premature death. Unfortunately, lupus presents many complexities and barriers that have prevented scientists from finding a cure. Because no two cases are exactly the same and its symptoms mimic those of other diseases, the exact cause of lupus is unknown and it is very difficult to diagnose.
In order to create Lupus Awareness, we are walking as a team. It costs nothing to participate, however, donations are accepted even in the smallest of amounts.

We meet at 8:30am and the walk starts at 9am. This is a 5K and it is usually on an easy terrain. There is no rush to walk fast so even those with trouble walking too far should be able to attend. Kids, too.
Registration starts at 8AM. The walk starts at 9AM.
If you have questions, please ask.
Thanks and see you soon.
