Is Charlie Kirk the New MLK?

Friends,

After discussion with my staff this week, we're calling a two-part audible on our next Luther & Lager. First: we're pushing the party back one week, to October 2nd. (Still at Wasena Tap Room, 7-8:15p.) Among other reasons, this will facilitate our enjoyment of beverages befitting Oktoberfest.

Second: we're going to put St Irenaeus on hold for a minute - he won't mind, poor fellow has been on hold for centuries now - and instead discuss/debate the question: Is Charlie Kirk the new MLK?

Remember, L & L exists in no small part to create a space for thoughtful disagreement about things that really matter. You can stick your neck out, even get hot around the collar, and whether you're right or left of the vanishing center you won't get cancelled. But we do ask that you work hard to listen to others, to respect those you disagree with, and to be as clear, honest, and frank as possible - at the same time.
