A beginner-friendly session on how JavaScript makes web pages dynamic—handling clicks and inputs, updating the page, and talking to APIs. We’ll go from simple examples to a small hands-on task.

Clear explanations, live demos, and a guided practice exercise. No prior experience required.
Session format (important)
This is a 2-hour workshop delivered as two back-to-back 1-hour sessions.
Each hour has its own Google Meet link (attached below and re-sent on the day):

- Why JavaScript matters (browser logic & interactivity)
- Core basics: variables, conditions, loops, functions
- DOM & events: change the page with code
- Fetching data from an API (intro)
- Guided practice + Q&A
You’ll learn
- How JS responds to user actions (events)
- How to read/change the page (DOM)
- How to structure simple scripts and avoid common bugs

- Laptop
- A code editor (e.g., VS Code)
How to join & calendar
This event runs on Google Meet. Please add it to your Google Calendar and include both links (Part 1 & Part 2) in the event description. You’ll also receive both Meet links on the meetup day via email/event page. Join a few minutes early if you’d like help with setup.
