Escapardenne Lee Trail (Fernwanderweg) [PART 1]

Let's continue our adventures on the north:

No need to worry we will not do this 51km 2300m 🔺🔻 mega-trail at once. We will split it to 2 hikes:

1, Kautenbach to Goebelsmuhle [25km]
2, Goebelsmuhle to Ettelbruck [25km]

The second part intersects with the hike we just did from Michelau so let's go on with the first part to have a unique experience. These will both be A to B hikes so it is always recommended in case you coming with car just leave the car at the finishing point and take the train to the start.

Start time: take RE3760 from Gare Centrale at 10:16, arrives to Kautenbach at 10:58, we will start the hike as soon as the train arrives

End time: on the way back there is again unfortunately just 1 train back per hour always at :35 so we will move the lunch break towards the end of the hike and time it to be able to comfortably reach the train. We are aiming for the 17:35 train.

What to bring:

• at least 2l water (we going off the hook on this one, there will be no possibilities to buy anything around the trail so make sure you bring enough water)
• hiking sticks
• snacks, food
• sun cream, hat
• coming in long pants is highly recommended as we are going through a dense forest area and it is tick season already 🪲

The weather looks pleasant 23-24 C at start 🌞, max 27C around the end, no sign of any rain. The peak temperatures will come by we finish the hike so it will feel nice taking the train with air-condition back to the city. No event planned for the end of this hike because there is nothing there, if enough are interested we can stay for food and drinks at Rotonde.
