Turelbaach from Fuussekaul (12km)

Dear hiking friends,

The youngest castle in Luxembourg, "Chateau de Turelbaach", was started to be built by a local guy from 1964 until 2007.
Although it is not possible to visit it inside, the castle has become so famous in the meantime that there is even an 8km Autopedestre trail built to pass by.

Unfortunately, 8km is very short, and most parts of that trail are just going over the fields, that's why I came up with a different idea:

The local trail "ES9" starts from Fussekaul, and at some point, we will switch over to a different path, which brings us to the castle, where we will take our lunch break at the lake.
The castle invites you to take a lot of beautiful photos from all directions, the break will be at least 30 minutes, and we can sit down for a picnic and share some snacks.

We're going to meet near the bus stop "Heiderscheid/Fussekaul" and start the hike around 10:00.

Public transport

• 09:16 - Train IC 5331 from Gare Centrale towards "Gouvy" (the Belgian train), arriving at 09:43 in Ettelbrück
• 09:53 - Bus 131 towards "Arsdorf" from "Gare routiere" in Ettelbrück, next to the train station, arriving at 10:06 in Fuussekaul

• As a driver, please provide the exact location for the pick-up. Can be anywhere in Luxembourg, or even abroad, if you come from France or Germany
• As a passenger, make sure you unsubscribe from the event AND the carpool if you can't make it
• Make sure you calculate enough time. It's approx. 45 minutes from Luxembourg city. 9:15 is a good time to start
• Make sure that you are absolutely aware of the pick-up location, especially if it's not in Luxembourg City.
