Hello Friends!

The weather forecast for Sunday has changed thrice per day this week.
I even prepared a backup plan for the "full day of rain" that was predicted 2 days ago, only to find out now that we might not even see a single drop of rain instead.

That's why I went back to plan A:

I noticed recently that the colorful autumn forests often look better from outside than from the inside, where you "miss the forest by the trees".

There is a place with an amazing view in the north, the "Molberlee" mountain ridge. It's part of the famous "Lee Trail", which was nominated for "Europe's most beautiful hiking path" a couple of years back.

I took 2 different paths and stitched them together in a way that we will have some beautiful views over the hills as well as inside the forest.
The second half is also new to me, you might not have been there as well.

There is a little chapel halfway, and a spot that shows as "shelter" on the map.
This will be our lunch break and should be able to cover us all, even in case of rain.

Meeting Point:
We will meet near the bus stop "HOSCHEID, Kreizgaass".

If you come by car, there is some, but limited parking space around.
If it's full, just park carefully along the streets and don't block any exit, don't get towed!

Public Transport:

You can use IC5331 from Gare Centrale, leaving at 09:16 towards "Gouvy".
In EttelbrΓΌck, there is unfortunately a 40-minute layover until Bus 170 leaves at 10:23 towards "Huldange".

You're probably better off coming by car and taking some people with you :)

Carpool:
Carpooling may be the best option this time.
Here you can register your car or grab a seat:

If there is no seat available, you should join the wait list.

Glacis is usually a convenient starting point, which everyone can easily get to. Unless you come from a different town, please clearly state where you're going to start and where you might be able to pick someone up.
I will start from Dommeldange, we meet at the parking of the train station, several buses can get you there (bus stop "Eich, Klinik"), or train.

Wherever you start from, please state it precisely on the carpool app to avoid delays from your passengers not finding you.

Disclaimer:
The hike is at your own risk, and please make sure to wear proper shoes and bring some water for yourself!

This time it's very important to wear proper shoes. The ridge consists of slate, which can be slippery at times, especially after rain!

Looking forward to hiking with you!

Jens.
