Chinese Hot Pot Gathering
Details
Hi guys, this time we are proposing something different! With the cold winter coming and festive ambience getting closer, we are planning for a Chinese hot pot session at my favourite hot pot restaurant in Luxembourg:
Hot Pot & BBQ锅锅聚到, 54 Avenue de la Liberté, 1930 Luxembourg.
Hot pot is a flavorful broth traditionally served inside a large metal pot. There are many types of hot pot, like Chongqing hot pot, Beijing hot pot, Yunnan hot pot, and so on. The broth is brought to a boil and left simmering for the duration of the meal. Raw ingredients, such as meat and vegetables, are placed into the simmering broth and thus cooked. The cooked pieces are dipped into dipping sauces for additional flavor. It is a popular form of diet in China, and growingly, in other countries as well.
For those interested, we ardently invite you to join us to enjoy good food and nice chit chat after a long day of work in this chilling weather. However, before your registration, there are a few points which require your undivided attention:
1.Ingredients: Typical hot pot ingredients include thinly sliced meat, vegetables, mushrooms, potatoes, tofu, glass noodles, and seafood, etc. The concept of hot pot is to share food together with family and friends, so the ingredients ordered will be shared among all attendees. We may not cover everything mentioned but there would definitely be meat products. So this session will not be vegan nor vegetarian friendly, and for people who have certain food allergy and taboos, please be careful to register.
2.Cost: Since we will be sharing the ingredients and for the convenience of calculation, the cost will be EVENLY distributed among all attendees, no matter how much you eat and what drinks you order. Please consider carefully if you are ok with it before registration.
3.Attendance: Unlike a hike, we need to make reservation with the restaurant to confirm our booking (or even secure a separate room depending the number of attendees), so last minute cancellation is not recommended. Please consider if you can make it before registering.
4.Disclaimer: Since it’s a foodie session, please be aware that we as organisers, are not liable for any incidents that may occur, including but not limited to food poisoning, allergies, injuries, etc.
If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment, or contact me or Marcello directly.
We look forward to seeing you soon and sharing the joy of nice food and good company together, which is the core spirit of hot pot. Cheers!
