🍷🎄 Christmas Market Echternach (10km, almost a loop) 🍷🎄

Hello Friends!

The days get shorter, and apparently, my lead time to inform you about the next hike is too!

I will work on that, and at least starting from January, the days will get longer again!

This time we're doing something that we haven't done for at least 3 years!
Going to a Christmas Market without a train station in the town.

But at least a good bus connection, which we need for Glühwein reasons.

We're going to meet near the Echternach lake, we're going to start up the hills in the back of the lake, where I have never set foot.
According to the map, there's an amazing view over the lake and the town, and we might even see the Christmas market from up there.

Going down, half around the lake, passing by the youth hostel and then strrrrraight into town! 🍷🎄

We will take a few short breaks to have a sip of water, but not too long and not too many, because there will be no picnic like in summer, we need to continue heading towards the final Bratwurst destination!

Meeting Point:
We will meet at the "Parking du Lac" and start the hike shortly after the bus arrives.

Parking closer to the city center, I expect it to be crowded, and maybe a brisk 1.5km walk back to the car is what you need after lots of gromperkichelcher and Glühwein.

Public Transport:
Bus 201 will leave from "Limpertsberg, Theatre" at 10:10.
You can get there easily by tram or a bus that stops Staereplaz or Fondation Pescatore.
The bus will arrive at 10:51 at "Echternach, Nonnenmillen-Lac".

Note:
This is not a complete loop; if you come by car, you will have to walk back 15 minutes to the parking (1.4km) or take the bus for 2 stops.
