Luxembourg Language Exchange Meetup

Welcome to our weekly physical or virtual Club Polyglotte meeting.

• As usual, a minimum consumption of one drink or something small to eat is obligatory at Restaurant Quai Steffen at 13, Place de la gare at the Luxembourg railway station.

• We start our get together at 19:00 h and finish at 22:00 h.

As on every Tuesday, participate at one of the following language tables:

1. English
2. French
3. Luxemburgish
4. German
5. Spanish
6. Italian
   or languages like Mandarin, Russian, Romanian or Arabic, if needed.

We are constantly searching for Buddies who lead the various language tables and for those who would like to participate in the organisation for our club established in 1999. Please message us, if you are interested in managing the Club with us on Facebook / Meta.

Membership fees per calendar year: 3 EUR cash (members until and including 24 Y, only 1 EUR)
Compulsory consumption applies at Restaurant Le Quai Steffen!

This is a language exchange event for those who want to learn or practice French, German, English, Luxembourgish or any other language you find an interlocutor for. Especially in Luxembourg, speaking multiple languages is an essential skill. The journey of learning a language is a discovery road in which it is great to meet advantaged/native speakers and language learners with who you can practice your listening and speaking skills. All levels are welcome, and you’re also welcome for a drink and a chat of course.

!!! AfterExchange-Apero !!! Speaking a new language can be hard, so most weeks the attendees end up going to another bar afterwards to have a beer and a bite to unwind. Follow one of the organizers, to the "hottest bars in town". ;)

· Please sit with a group of your preferred language exchange, you will recognize them by the language signs/windchimes
· By arriving to this event you agree that the organizers cannot be held liable in case any of the participants violate the current regulations
· Feel free to post a message in the group if you are looking for an interlocutor for a language other than French, English or German. (Most of the times we also have Luxembourgish).

Please arrive by 18:30 (6:30 PM) so we can get settled and order food together.

Dinner is mandatory — everyone must order something to eat.

After dinner, we’ll stay at Big Beer Company to dance, mingle, and celebrate Oktoberfest in true Bavarian style!

👗 Dress Code:
Wearing dirndl or lederhosen is highly encouraged — let’s make it festive!
