Looking for a fun way to explore the trails around Luxembourg City? Join our easygoing mountain biking group! We organize casual rides, focusing on enjoying the outdoors, discovering new paths, and having a good time on two wheels. Both standard and e-bikes are welcome. Scenic MTB Ride: Pfaffenthal → Mersch through the Castles + Train Return
Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg, 2138 Pafendall Lussemburgo, Luxembourg, LUWe'll start from Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg train station (downstairs next to the bus stop "Pfaffenthal, Halte CFL Quai 1") and ride around 29 km, passing by the Grand-Château d'Ansembourg and Château Hollenfels. Expect a group-friendly pace with regular breaks to enjoy the scenery — no one gets left behind.
🚴 Who's it for? Intermediate riders with basic off-road experience. This is a moderately challenging route — you should be comfortable riding on mixed terrain including singletrack and natural paths, with around 550 m of elevation gain.
🚲 Bike requirement (important) This ride includes off-road, singletrack, and unpaved terrain. A mountain bike is required (e-MTB is also fine). Gravel bikes with robust tyres may manage, but it will be demanding. ❌ City bikes / road bikes are not suitable for this route.
⚠️ Note: There is one short section (~163 m) where cycling is not permitted — we'll walk our bikes through this part together.

🚆 Return: Train back to Luxembourg from Mersch (~25 min, regular service)
🥙 Food: We usually stop for a kebab at destination before taking the train back, but this is up to you :) It's advised to bring water and snacks for the way.
⚠️ Important: This is a casual group ride, not a guided tour. You are responsible for your own safety and equipment. Helmet required. Ride within your limits.
